Tottenham Expert a ‘fan’ of Roony Bardghji amid Fabrizio Romano update
Tottenham expert John Wenham is a “fan” of Spurs target Roony Bardghji, who the club continue to pursue.
As per Fabrizio Romano via his YouTube channel (28 February), Spurs are one of several clubs still scouting Bardghji and considering a move for the youngster.
Tottenham News previously revealed (13 January) that the North London side were interested in a move for Bardghji.
His current FC Copenhagen contract expires in December 2025 and the winger has no intention of signing a new deal.
In light of this news, Wenham believes Spurs supporters must be patient as they wait to see what could happen next.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “I am a fan of Bardghji because I saw a picture of him wearing an old Tottenham kit and I know that he has spoken highly of playing for the club in the past.
“Perhaps that previous connection is something which puts us in a good position in any attempts to try and sign him, although I imagine he’s on the list of most top clubs around Europe.
“Competition for his signature will be tough and as a result, we just have to wait and see.
“A lot of these deals come down to what agents your club work closely with and other various factors, so let’s see if Spurs can make this one work.”
Could Roony Bardghji end up at Tottenham playing under Ange Postecoglou?
If Spurs were able to pull off a move for Bardghji, it would be one of the most exciting signings the club has made in recent memory and would represent yet another Sweedish wonderkid to join Tottenham following the signing of Lucas Bergvall.
At the age of 19, Bardghji has already scored 15 times for Copenhagen’s first team across 71 appearances, which includes his memorable strike in the UEFA Champions League against Manchester United.
He has seven goals to his name in the Superliga this season, although as Romano mentioned he is no longer getting any minutes due to his lack of willingness to sign a new deal with his current club.

As a result, it looks as if a move could be on the cards for the Sweedish forward this summer, and having previously admitted in an interview with Sportbladet (via Metro, 7 February) that it is “fun to think about” a move to North London, Spurs will fancy their chances of winning the race for Bardghji’s signature.
In other Tottenham news, one “outstanding” young Spurs player was recently the “star of the show” for the Under-21s.
