Tottenham: Doctor shares injury news on Ryan Sessegnon

Tottenham defender Ryan Sessegnon is still expected to be ruled out for a few more weeks, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the English left-back has been stuck in a re-injury cycle which he’s finding hard to get out of.

This could be down to the lack of sleep, nutrition, stress or other off-field factors which are preventing him from being fit for an extended period of time.

Discussing the state of play with Sessegnon exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “He is stuck in a re-injury cycle and is finding it extremely hard to get out of it.

Playing matches and being as diligent as he can with his health can go a long way towards solving the problem.

It could be the lack of sleep, stress that needs reducing, nutrition or strength training and conditioning.

Narrowing down on the issue and then working diligently towards solving it will be the keys to him getting out of that cycle.

I still him missing a few more weeks.

Does Sessegnon have a future at Tottenham?

The 23-year-old returned to action to play the FA Cup clash against Burnley at the start of January and hasn’t featured for the Lilywhites since then.

He missed the period between August and December due to a Grade 3 hamstring tear and is now ruled out with a thigh injury.

Sessegnon has a year left on his deal come the end of the season so if Spurs are to cash in on him, they may look for bidders in the summer.
