Tottenham disappointment emerges after Pedro Porro transfer development
Pedro Porro is one of many Tottenham stars facing an uncertain future this summer.
Most of the focus is on Ange Postecoglou’s future in North London, with the Australian expected to leave Spurs, regardless of what happens in the UEFA Europa League.
However, in addition to Postecoglou, several players at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could also be on the move this summer.
Cristian Romero’s exit appears to be all but confirmed, and Porro has become the latest first-team star to be linked with a move away from Tottenham.

Tottenham ready to sell Porro this summer
Porro is a mainstay in the first team at Tottenham.
However, as reported by TBR Football (22 April), Spurs are willing to sell the right-back this summer, with Manchester City showing an interest.
Tottenham | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Pedro Porro | 100 | 10 | 19 |
Pep Guardiola’s side are yet to replace Kyle Walker and could look to re-sign Porro.
However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – would be disappointed to see the Spaniard sold.
“I feel like Porro would be considerably better under a different manager,” Wenham said.
“Therefore, I’d be very disappointed if he were sold. He was fantastic when we first signed him and has become a full international since joining.
“I still think he’s a very good player, he just needs a change of manager.”

Tottenham could struggle to replace Porro
While he has faced some difficulties this season, Porro is a Spain international who possesses plenty of quality. Therefore, if Spurs were to let the defender go, they could struggle to replace him.
At the age of 25, Porro has plenty of time to continue developing and has demonstrated that he can thrive in the right system. As a result, Tottenham should keep hold of the full-back and give him another chance next season.
However, if the decision is made to sell Porro, and the player demands the move, with three years left on his contract, Tottenham would at least control negotiations.
