Tottenham ‘delighted’ with remarkable Luka Vuskovic feat in Bundesliga
Luka Vuskovic has been praised for his achievements while away from Tottenham on loan.
Vuskovic impressed fans during Spurs’ pre-season, and most believed he’d be a key player for the Lilywhites this season. However, the club has other plans for the young defender.
As a result, Tottenham received backlash when Vuskovic was loaned to Hamburg over the summer.
But it seems Tottenham’s hierarchy has had the last laugh with Vuskovic flying on loan in the Bundesliga.

Luka Vuskovic praised for back-to-back Bundesliga feat
Vuskovic was recently crowned the Bundesliga’s Rookie of the Month for the second consecutive month.
The defender has had an excellent start to the league season that has left several Spurs fan’s eagerly awaiting his return.
The youngster is not the only Tottenham star who’s thriving while on loan, with Tyrese Hall impressing at Notts County, and Mikey Moore finding his footing at Rangers before injury struck.
As a result, Tottenham expert and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham has praised Vuskovic’s accomplishments, while acknowledging that Spurs may have some big decisions regarding their lesser-performing stars in January.
“Vuskovic has got the back-to-back Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award. They’ll be really pleased with his progress,” Wenham exclusively told Tottenham News.
“I’m sure everyone at Tottenham is immediately delighted with how that’s going. So on the whole, it’s positive. Hall is continuing to get games for Notts County, as well as Will Lankshear.
“So on the whole, it’s positive with those younger players out on loan and, as I said, I’m sure a few will go to clubs in January too.”
Luka Vuskovic close to topping impressive Bundesliga stat
The best word to describe Vuskovic’s season in the Bundesliga would be consistent.
Indeed, the 18-year-old has arguably been Hamburg’s best defender this season.
- Vuskovic has recovered 4.0 balls per game in the league
- He has blocked 1.3 shots per game
- He has won 68 per cent of his total dribbles
Impressively, 100 per cent of the defender’s dribbles have been successful, according to Sofascore.
But his clearances stand out among the rest, recording 9.0 clearances per game. This is the second most clearances per 90 in the Bundesliga.
If the youngster continues at this pace, he might give Kevin Danso a run for his money, who is currently topping the metric in the Premier League.
But one thing’s for certain: Tottenham undoubtedly have a star talent on their hands.
