Tottenham defender snubs interest from Germany to sign new deal at Hotspur Way
Tottenham were able to fend off interest from clubs in Germany as one defender put pen to paper on a new contract at Hotspur Way.
It looks set to be a summer of change in North London, with Ange Postecoglou’s future uncertain amid suggestions that the Australian has lost the Tottenham dressing room.
As well as the manager, plenty of players are facing a potential Tottenham exit this summer, with a cut-price deal for Richarlison on the cards.
However, at the other end of the pitch, Spurs have been able to tie one defender to a fresh contract, despite interest from Germany in his services.

Tottenham gem signs new contract at Hotspur Way
Tottenham have made a series of contract announcements in recent weeks, with Under-21s midfielder Callum Olusesi signing a long-term deal in North London.
In addition, a host of Under-18 players have put pen to paper on their first professional contracts at Hotspur Way, including 18-year-old shot-stopper Sam Archer, which could lead to another goalkeeper leaving Tottenham.

As well as Archer, Miracle Adewole has decided to commit his future to Spurs, and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has revealed that clubs in Germany were interested in the versatile right-back.
“Adewole is a really talented player,” Wenham said.
“He’s able to play both as a right-back or a right-winger, and he has a great engine on him. He is probably the fittest Under-18 player at Tottenham by quite some distance.
“This is a player with an exciting future ahead of him who has already represented Germany previously at Under-16 level. There was some interest from German clubs this time around before he decided to sign his professional deal with Tottenham.
“Therefore, it is good for the club to get this deal over the line, as he is a player that is highly regarded.”
Adewole must target pre-season minutes at Tottenham
After signing this new deal, Adewole will no doubt be keen to get going and show Spurs supporters what he is capable of.
Therefore, the 17-year-old should be targeting some minutes in pre-season.
