Tottenham ‘continously raid City Group’ to hire new executives in transfer shuffle
Tottenham endured a miserable winter transfer window.
Thomas Frank had called for his side to be active in the final few days of the transfer market, but that did not happen.
Tottenham failed to bring anyone in on deadline day, leaving supporters very concerned about the second half of the season.
However, there could be encouragement in the near future with the way that the N17 club are going about things off the pitch.

What Man City method could Tottenham follow?
Manchester City are known for bringing in brilliant talent for cheap fees, and John Wenham believes the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium side may follow suit.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: “One club that seems to do [find bargains in the market], and I know they do it because they pay the wages, is Manchester City.
“This summer they signed Rayan Cherki for £29million, I know the situation around Guehi, but that’ll go through as a £20m signing, someone that’s worth £70-80m.
“Despite the fact that they get accused of spending very often, they get very good deals in the market.
“I think they’re [Tottenham] trying to do that with a number of City Group executives that we continuously employ, a Norwegian chap, Carlos Raphael Moersen, has joined the club in the last couple of months.
“We had Scott Munn before, the under-18s manager for Man City has come in, but we seem to have a vast recruitment from the City group.
“They seem to find, you know, great successes in the transfer market, paying, you know, decent sums of money, I mean, Cherki, he looks already double what they paid for him.”
Who is Carlos Raphael Moersen?
Moersen was appointed as Tottenham’s Director of Football Operations in January, and he will be responsible for the football administration, player care, and what happens at the training ground.
He is known as Rafi, and spent a decade with the City Football Group, with his most recent role being as Director of Football Transactions.
The executive is highly regarded within the game, and the move was seen as a big one in Spurs’ off-field revamp.
Whether it has the required impact remains to be seen, but it would be interesting if they did now follow the City recruitment style and become a bit more aggressive in the transfer window.
