Tottenham: ‘Bizarre’ verdict emerges in North London as Daniel Levy plans are approved

John Wenham claims it is “bizarre” that some supporters aren’t on board with Daniel Levy’s redevelopment plans at Tottenham.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes it can only be a good thing that Levy is looking to attract more people to visit the club.

This comes after Spurs recently saw their plans to build a 30-storey hotel next to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium approved by the Greater London Authority (26 March).

Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has been left confused by supporters who have expressed their disapproval of these recent plans to him.

“I think this was something that was always in the plans, it was just a matter of time.

“It was a case of ticking the boxes and getting everything approved, and with Spurs set to host games at the 2028 UEFA European Championships, these hotels make complete sense.

“This is just another part of the wider Tottenham redevelopment plan, which for some bizarre reason I have noticed certain people aren’t on board with.

“Things like this will just bring more money to the local economy, which can only be beneficial.”

Daniel Levy does get some things right at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

For the things which Levy so often gets wrong, the Spurs chairman does also make a lot of smart decisions in North London.

Building a hotel next to a stadium that countless tourists visit each year makes a lot of financial sense.

While those tourists would have often gone to third-party businesses, a lot of them are likely to now stay at the hotel closest to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which means more money for the club.

As long as this money is redistributed into the team rather than Levy’s pocket, it is hard to see fans having any reason to complain about this new development.
