Tottenham: Ange Postecoglou to axe Yves Bissouma v Nottingham Forest as update shared on Friday

Bryan King wants Yves Bissouma to be dropped to the Tottenham bench against Nottingham Forest.

The ex-Spurs scout believes Ange Postecoglou could benefit from making some changes from the 1-1 draw with West Ham at the London Stadium on Tuesday (2 April), especially considering the quick turnaround.

Spurs will welcome their former boss Nuno Espirito Santo and his Forest side to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (7 April) as they look to maintain the pressure on Aston Villa.

Postecoglou confirmed via Spurs’ official X account (5 April) that Richarlison was the only fresh injury doubt following the clash with the Hammers in midweek.

King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes that the Australian could still make changes, with both Pape Matar Sarr and Dejan Kulusevski in line to feature against the Reds.

“Tottenham need to keep winning and hope Aston Villa drop points, they can’t afford any slip-ups. Three points is a must against Nottingham Forest.

“I would bring Sarr back into the starting lineup and drop Yves Bissouma to the bench. Sarr will be chomping at the bit after being left out against West Ham.

“I would also like to see Kulusevski start too. If it were up to me, Timo Werner would be on the bench and Kulusevski would play alongside Son Heung-min and Brennan Johnson.”

Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou cannot afford anything less than three points against Nottingham Forest

Spurs need all the points they can get if they have any chance of making a return to the UEFA Champions League next season and considering the matches they have coming up, this is a must-win game.

With the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool as well as a trip to Chelsea still on the agenda for Tottenham this season, they must ensure they claim maximum points against Forest.

Nuno’s side have been in improved form as of late, recording a 3-1 victory over Fulham at the City Ground on Tuesday (2 April), but that doesn’t change much from Spurs’ point of view.
