Tottenham ace Josh Keeley hailed amid ‘phenomenal’ Leyton Orient developments

Tottenham goalkeeper Josh Keeley is making quite the impact on loan with Leyton Orient.

Since joining the O’s on loan at the beginning of the 2024/25 season the shot-stopper has made 11 League One appearances and kept eight clean sheets, with a potential move to QPR mooted as a result of this impressive form.

Keeley is thought of highly around Hotspur Way, with legends of the club having already been in contact with the 21-year-old.

And Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has detailed what the next steps might be for the youngster.

“Keeley has made a phenomenal impact,” Wenham said.

“He has a really impressive record with Leyton Orient. Therefore, he just needs to keep working hard and keep impressing scouts from other clubs as he looks to secure a Championship loan next season. It was only last season he was on loan with Barnet in the National League.

“He has gone straight to League One and established himself. He needed some time to settle in initially, but now, it looks like he won’t be coming out the team.”

Guglielmo Vicario is the number one at Tottenham, with Fraser Forster currently deputising for the Italian. However, Forster is expected to leave Spurs at the end of the season.

Therefore, an opening could soon emerge for the number two position between the sticks in North London.

And it seems as though Keeley is positioning himself perfectly to fill that spot.
