Thomas Frank sack news to hit late Tottenham transfer plans before deadline
Thomas Frank is on very thin ice at Tottenham.
Spurs fans have had enough of Frank, with the majority now pleading with the Lewis family to get rid of the Dane for the second half of the season.
The last straw for them was Tottenham’s 2-2 draw at Burnley, where the travelling fans even chanted for their own manager to be sacked.
Frank remains in charge, with Conor Gallagher his headline January signing so far, as the winter deadline quickly approaches on 2 February.
All of the noise surrounding Frank, however, could derail any late moves in the market.

Thomas Frank sack latest to hit transfers hard at Tottenham
Spurs are yet to make progress on any more incoming signings, it seems, with an exit for Randal Kolo Muani likely to be the next piece of business.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, football finance expert Dan Plumley admitted that all of the talk surrounding Frank and his future could have a negative effect.
“I think naturally, it will bind into the decision-making,” Plumley said.
“You have to look at the whole optics around the club, but we’ve said that with Spurs in the past.
“It seems to be how they operate; we expect them to perhaps spend, they don’t, and then there’s pressure on the manager. We’ve been here before.
“You’re in a similar situation here, and the league performance is still not great, so financially, you can look at it if they were to get rid of the manager.
“That would bring a compensation fee, which is going to be in the low millions at least, so there are plenty of financial factors in there.
“It’s bound to have some impact on how you operate in the transfer market, and you have the challenge of sticking to your guns or reacting, and I think some people are looking for Spurs to react here.”
Who could replace Thomas Frank?
There are several names appearing in the market already.
Mauricio Pochettino is the dream hire for many at Tottenham, but the Argentine would likely only agree to a return after the World Cup with the USMNT.

Other names on the market include Xabi Alonso after being sacked by Real Madrid, but it is very uncertain if the Spaniard would accept the role.
Time will tell what will happen with Frank, but if he stays, it looks as though it may be a quiet week in the transfer window before the deadline.
