Thomas Frank already winning over ‘fickle’ Tottenham fans after latest developments
Thomas Frank may have enjoyed a fine start to life at Tottenham, but he still has significant work to do in North London.
Last season, Ange Postecoglou suffered the sack, but was appreciated by supporters after delivering the Europa League trophy at the end of a shocking domestic year.
Frank bagged all three points in Spurs’ Champions League opener, but delivered a less-than-convincing performance in a 1-0 win against Villarreal on Tuesday.
Now, the Dane has been praised for what he has done in North London and may get the seal of approval from the Lilywhites faithful.

This article includes the opinion of iconic football commentator Ian Darke.
Thomas Frank praised for early performances at Tottenham
Frank has already significantly influenced his Tottenham team, with several players singled out for their displays.
Indeed, it would be difficult to criticise the Dane for what has unfolded so far, even though he conceded defeat to Bournemouth.
Now, Darke – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has described how he may be convincing Spurs supporters already.
“I think Frank is the kind of character who’s not overawed by being at somewhere like Tottenham,” Darke said.
“And he’s quite good too. Not only building that spirit and togetherness among the players, but getting the fans on board with what the team are trying to do. Although they’re a fickle bunch, I think the Tottenham fans are buying into it as well.
“So I think as long as they kind of go along the way they’re going and maybe make a decent fist of the Champions League, which they might, I think the signs are, this could be a good season for Tottenham.”

What would success look like for Thomas Frank this season?
After the chaos that ensued last season, the Spurs fans will be hopeful for more consistency and less controversy this term.
The biggest priority for the Dane will surely be to fix Tottenham’s league form after a record number of defeats in a Premier League campaign.
While it will be tough to challenge for the title, there is a growing expectation that the Lilywhites can secure a consistent Champions League spot.
In Europe, the North London club will be expected to advance to the knockout stages, especially after the favourable draw they were handed.
However, is there a realistic chance that Frank could lift a trophy during his first season?
The most likely route to such success would be in the domestic cup competitions, and Tottenham should be targeting the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
While the pressure is not on Frank yet, he will have been told what he should achieve during his first season at the North London club.
