Son Heung-Min ‘frustrated’ at Tottenham with summer exit on the cards
Son Heung-Min has struggled to maintain of level of consistency in his performances for Tottenham this season with rumours persisting over a summer exit.
Tottenham have endured a wretched campaign this time round, though plenty of that failure points towards the injury crisis that has ensued.
Several key players have been on the sidelines for Tottenham, while others have failed to replicate the form that they have previously showcased at the club.
Son is one of those to have failed to impress consistently, with a summer exit mooted for the Tottenham forward.

Son has more to come at Tottenham
Despite what has been a poor campaign for Son, very few will doubt the level of quality he possesses and he may still have a huge role to play beyond this season.
Paul Robinson, when speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, admitted that the forward will be “frustrated” but likely to remain at Spurs for now.
“He’s dropped off a lot this season,” said Robinson.
“The club have extended his contract this year and listen, he’s struggled at times and you can see he’s frustrated with himself. There are decisions that he’s made in front of goal where you normally just expect him to finish it and it’d be a goal.
2024/25 season | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Dribbles (Success rate) |
Son Heung-Min | 23 | 6 | 9 | 27 (43.5%) |
“You look at what he’s given to the club and what he’s capable of over the years that he’s been there and what he’s still capable of. When the team starts playing better, we might be having a different conversation towards the end of the season but he’s going to be a very difficult player to replace if he is to go.
“I honestly think that he’s got more to give and I can’t see the club dealing. I don’t see the benefit of him doing a deal at the end of the season. I think he’s got another 12 months to give at least and I think the current situation at the club results are improving so hopefully his form will improve along with it.”

Ange Postecoglou needs Son back in form
While a win against Ipswich may have alleviated some of the pressure on Ange Postecoglou, results will need to remain consistent throughout the remainder of the campaign.
For that to be achieved, everyone needs to be at their best in terms of physical and mental ability and that includes Son.
No one can doubt how much quality he brings to the side, though at the same time, no one can argue against the fact it has been showcased nowhere near enough this campaign.
