Son Heung-min exit verdict delivered after ‘powering’ Saudi news – Exclusive
Son Heung-min has been linked with an exit from Tottenham this summer.
The overwhelming majority of focus at Spurs is currently fixated on the future of Ange Postecoglou, who looks almost nailed on to be sacked, despite getting his side into the Champions League.
However, the rest of the focus has been on players who could depart North London this summer, leaving very little room for consideration when it comes to recruitment.
One of those to have been linked away is Son, with his contract expiring this time next year.

Tottenham have difficult call to make on Son’s future
Son has been far from his best for a while now, and with just one year remaining on his contract, questions have emerged as to where his future lies.
Saudi clubs have been linked with a move, but Paul Robinson doesn’t see Tottenham cashing in on him early this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: “I’d like to think not. I think he’s still got a huge value on the side with his experience at Champions League level as well. You see his numbers last season as well.
| Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Minutes Played |
| Premier League | 30 | 7 | 10 | 2,117′ |
| Europa League | 10 | 3 | 1 | 671′ |
| FA Cup | 2 | – | 1 | 121′ |
| Carabao Cup | 4 | 1 | – | 280′ |
“I don’t think there’s a case to sell him. Obviously they extended his contract. I think he’s a big part of the club, and that will be a part of the way when I think he decides that he wants to move on. I don’t think the club would force a move for him.
“He’s into his last 12 months, and if a massive offer comes in, that’s a decision that the club are going to have to make. I think his value to the team and progressing the team this season in the Premier League and in the Champions League outweighs any kind of offer they can get for him with only 12 months left on his deal.
“Yes, the Saudi Pro League is powering forward, and it’s getting bigger and stronger and it will continue to do so until the World Cup in 2034. And they will test Premier League teams’ resilience.”

Postecoglou future must be decided before any exit calls
Until Tottenham know who will be in the dugout next season, it is a massive risk to make any calls on those coming in or leaving the club.
As for when that knowledge arrives, it is expected to be communicated in the coming days, with it looking likely that Postecoglou will leave.
However, once that situation is resolved, Spurs have a lot of work to do this summer, and they need to do it well.
