Richarlison told to accept wage cut to quit Tottenham amid £32m+ exit latest
Richarlison will need to accept a wage cut to quit Tottenham as exit speculation swirls.
Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt recently confirmed in a press conference [via Globo, 16 December] that the club are in talks with the striker, with Spurs willing to listen to transfer offers.
However, as reported by Fichajes [18 December], Fluminense aren’t the only Brazillian outfit interested, with Flamengo having seen a £17.2million bid turned down for Richarlison, who has also been mooted to make a spectacular return to Everton.
Tottenham reportedly want at least £32.9million to cut ties with the 27-year-old, and ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – thinks a return to Brazil could benefit Richarlison.
“If he wants to play football then he should consider returning to Brazil,” King said.
“That is the thing, it is all about how much he wants to play football because I can’t imagine he will earn the same money in Brazil that he is earning at Tottenham.
“If he wants to get back playing, returning to Brazil might be a good idea, especially if he wants to play for the national team again.”
Richarlison to quit Tottenham and return to Brazil?
Richarlison has failed to perform consistently at a high level since moving to North London. Therefore, it feels as though a move away from the Premier League might be best.
It could help the striker to rediscover his best form and get his career back on track. However, whether selling him to a Brazilian club would be best for Tottenham is a different story altogether.
With a potential £60million bid to arrive from Saudi Arabia, while an Ivan Toney swap deal has been mooted, it feels as though the club could benefit from exploring their options elsewhere.

However, if they are desperate to move Richarlison on, it feels as though convincing him to accept a wage cut and return to Brazil could be the only stumbling block in any potential deal.
