Richarlison ‘to secure lucrative Brazil move as tides change’ – Exclusive
Daniel Levy will be keen to recoup as much money as possible for Tottenham striker Richarlison.
Richarlison was not included in the Tottenham squad which beat Reading 2-0 on Saturday (19 July).
Thomas Frank’s decisions in pre-season will likely shed some light on his plans for next season.
And with Richarlison seemingly heading towards a Tottenham departure, a deal could be secured that benefits all parties involved.

Palmeiras prepared to ‘splash the cash’ for Richarlison
As reported by Brazilian outlet Terra (15 July), Palmerias have shown a strong interest in Richarlison.
The Sao Paulo club have contacted Tottenham and are not deterred by his £55million price tag, which could come as a huge boost for Levy and Tottenham.
And while Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – doesn’t think the Brazilian outfit will spend £55m, he still believes Richarlison could be sold for a lucrative fee.
“I know people have laughed at the Palmeiras links,” Wenham said.
“However, you have to remember Palmeiras have just competed in the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time, which is paying significant amounts of money. They’re also going to be selling Richard Rios for a decent sum.
“They have also shown they can spend decent money when they signed Victor Roque from Barcelona. As a result, there has been a change of tides in Brazil in terms of the money they’ve got now, and the clubs are willing to spend, especially on the back of their involvement in the Club World Cup.
“So I don’t think it will be £55m, but I could see Richarlison moving to Palmeiras for a fairly lucrative fee.”

Richarlison will likely say his goodbyes this summer
Regardless of whether Richarlison wishes to remain, Tottenham seem determined to part ways with him.
Richarlison has struggled to live up to expectations since landing at Hotspur Way. While injury has been the biggest factor, he has also been inconsistent when fit.
Player | Season | Club | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Richarlison | 2024/25 | Tottenham | 24 | 5 | 2 |
Last season, he only managed five goals and seven assists in 24 appearances. As a result, Levy will be keen to sell him this summer.
