Richarlison thrills pundit who was previously frustrated by ’emotional’ Tottenham star
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium…
Paul Robinson is delighted to see Richarlison finally hitting his stride at Tottenham after the Brazilian netted against his former club Everton on Saturday.
Spurs’ revival continued as they won 2-1 against Everton to seal their third consecutive Premier League game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (23 December).
Richarlison, 26, grabbed his sixth goal of the campaign in the victory, meaning he’s now netted four goals in his last three Premier League appearances, which is more than what he scored in all competitions last season.

Robinson was excited by Richarlison’s arrival in North London when Tottenham signed him from Everton for £60million last year.
He’s always believed that the Brazilian had something to offer to the club, which is why the ex-goalkeeper has found him so frustrating.
“He’s playing well at the moment – he’s the Richarlison we’ve all been waiting to see,” Robinson told Tottenham News.
“I was really excited when they signed him from Everton, I thought it was a statement signing but he never really did it when Harry Kane was at the club and he’s had his problems on and off the field with injuries.
“I saw him play for Brazil and I know there’s a player in there, which is frustrating.

“But at the moment, he seems to have found his scoring boots. He’s taking great positions, he’s making good runs and it coincides with the team playing well as well with three wins on the bounce.
“With Richarlison, you can see how much he cares. It’s never a lack of trying, he’s very passionate and very emotional. When he said he came to Spurs he always wanted to play in the Champions League. He’s never lacked effort, it’s just been the end product.”
In other Tottenham news, we have been exclusively told that this big-name Spurs player is set to re-sign for his former club in the summer transfer window.
