Reiss Russell-Denny ‘to go on Tottenham pre-season tour’ after ‘superb’ scenes
Reiss Russell-Denny is expected to travel with Tottenham on their pre-season tour after what the midfielder did recently.
For now, the focus at Tottenham will be on ending the season on a huge high by winning the UEFA Europa League in Bilbao next month.
However, it won’t be long until the Lilywhites are jetting around the globe on another pre-season tour, with plans already being put in place as a lucrative clash with Arsenal is scheduled.
In addition, Tottenham could take part in another big-money showdown with Newcastle United in South Korea, and it looks as though 18-year-old Russell-Denny could be handed a chance to announce himself in these matches.

Russell-Denny scores ‘superb’ goal for Tottenham Under-21s
Tottenham have a host of talented young players, including Luca Williams-Barnett, who continues to shine for Spurs’ Under-18s.
It wasn’t such a positive season for the Under-21s, who finished 22nd in the Premier League 2. However, Russell-Denny was still able to sign off in style.

Spurs’ final game of the Premier League 2 season saw them lose 5-4 against Everton’s Under-21s at Lamex Stadium on Monday, 14 April. Despite the disappointing defeat, Russell-Denny netted a “superb” free-kick against the Toffees [Tottenham Hotspur Official] and has demonstrated that he is ready for a first-team opportunity.
As a result, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – expects the midfielder to travel with the first team during Spurs’ pre-season tour.
“Russell-Denny has basically started every game for the Under-21s since joining,” Wenham said.
“He has instantly settled into the midfield, and I think he will travel with Tottenham on their pre-season tour. They will take a look at him, see what level he is up to, and possibly send him on loan next season.
“However, as for now, he has settled in well and seems like a really good pickup on a free from Chelsea. Therefore, I’m pleased with that.”
Tottenham wise to take a closer look at Russell-Denny
Since arriving from Chelsea, Russell-Denny has played seven Premier League 2 matches for Spurs, with the defensive midfielder scoring once and providing three assists.
Therefore, Tottenham would be wise to take a closer look in pre-season, especially with the youngster set to turn 19 next season, an age where he could start to make a real impact on the first team.
