Randal Kolo Muani ’embarrasses’ Tottenham fans with Champions League incident
Tottenham star Randal Kolo Muani has been criticised after recent events in North London.
Kolo Muani has been linked with a Tottenham exit, with Juventus understood to be keen on the Paris Saint-Germain loanee.
The Frenchman scored the first goal in Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, which secured Thomas Frank‘s side top-eight finish in the Champions League.
However, his showing against Borussia Dortmund in the previous match in that competition has come under the microscope.
Kolo Muani slammed after incident vs Dortmund as Tottenham exit rumours swirl
John Wenham believes that Spurs need to sort a replacement if they were to allow Kolo Muani to be recalled by his parent club and then move to Italy, but has slammed his attitude.
The former Frankfurt star played 30 minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 20 January, but he did not have a good performance off the bench as his side won.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “We can’t just keep allowing players out, we do need a squad of players, so, only if someone else had come in would I sanction him returning, albeit he’s going to find himself on the bench for the second half of the season.
“I mean, when he’s come on in the cameos in the Premier League, he just doesn’t look bothered.
“There was an incident against Dortmund, where a ball was played forward that he could have very easily gotten onto, he sort of stopped and didn’t bother running for it, and Spence ran from behind him to keep it on the field of play.

“It was just embarrassing, for the fans, they’re just sort of saying, you need to put some effort in, you can’t just wander around with your hands on your hips, not contributing.”
Why Kolo Muani exit is best for both parties
Kolo Muani has not been able to score enough for the Lilywhites, and take the burden from Dominic Solanke in his absence.
The 27-year-old has looked uninterested a lot of the time, as Wenham spotted against the German side, and that is not the attitude that Spurs need.
They need somebody who will fight for the team, who will try with everything that he has to score and help his side, and that is not the Frenchman.
The situation he came into against Dortmund was perfect, his team were winning, and full of confidence, and he still could not be bothered.
Obviously, it likely depends on securing a replacement this late in the window, but it makes sense for all parties to cancel the loan.
