Radu Drăgușin ‘to leave Tottenham on loan’ as Cristian Romero exit claim emerges
Radu Drăgușin’s short-term future at Tottenham could depend upon Cristian Romero.
Drăgușin has been ruled out for the remainder of the season and might have already played his final match for Tottenham.
However, that will depend on whether or not Romero remains in North London next season.
The World Cup-winning centre-back, who is also currently unavailable to Ange Postecoglou due to injury, appears to already have one foot out of the door at Tottenham.
However, should he stay put, it could be Drăgușin who ends up playing his football elsewhere next term.

Drăgușin could join Premier League club on loan
Romero’s long-term future is up in the air, with suggestions having been made that the 26-year-old could be offered £250,000-a-week to remain at Tottenham.
Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes it is “highly unlikely” that the Argentinian is still in North London next season. However, if he does stay put, Wenham has suggested that Drăgușin could head to a Premier League club on loan.
“Kevin Danso has really impressed me in his first few games at Spurs,” Wenham said,
“He looks strong, he goes about his business well, and he has a good recovery pace. When I asked fans what they thought on social media, a lot of people have suggested he is better than Drăgușin.
“Therefore, I think Romero will probably move on in the summer. However, if he were to remain at Tottenham, the club could consider sending Drăgușin out on loan to a Premier League side, to see what he can do at that level, playing week in, week out as the main man.
“That would leave Romero, Micky van de Ven and Danso as the three options. However, I do think it is highly unlikely that Romero stays at this point.”
Romero ‘to leave Tottenham’
Romero is a player who will have ambitions of competing for trophies every season.
Therefore, based on how Spurs’ season has gone, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he seeks an exit this summer. However, there is no guarantee a club will pay what Spurs would likely demand, especially considering Romero’s injury record this season.

Therefore, should he remain put, that would leave Spurs with four first-team centre-backs, as well as Archie Gray and potentially Ben Davies – if he signs a new contract – who can all play in that position.
As a result, one of the four could be allowed to make way, and sending Drăgușin to a Premier League club on loan would probably be the most logical option.
