Postecoglou ‘to make major Tottenham changes v Wolves’ as sack claim shared

Ange Postecoglou will need to ensure his players are ready for the trip to Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, which could impact his thinking against Wolves.

Daniel Levy is expected to sack Postecoglou if Spurs fail to reach the semi-final of the UEFA Europa League.

As a result, after the 1-1 draw with Frankfurt at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday (10 April), Postecoglou knows that victory is needed in the second leg of the quarter-final tie at Deutsche Bank Park on 17 April.

Therefore, the Premier League clash with Wolves at Molinuex on Sunday (13 April) will perhaps be considered an unnecessary distraction, and Postecoglou could respond by making some major changes.

Postecoglou ‘to rotate entire Tottenham team v Wolves’

Spurs’ poor form in the Premier League is highlighted by the fact that Wolves are favourites to come out on top when the two teams meet in the West Midlands.

However, while another Premier League defeat would be frustrating, Spurs have nothing left to play for domestically.

Therefore, all of Postecoglou’s focus will be on the trip to Germany, and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has suggested that the Australian should rotate his entire team.

“That game against Frankfurt is huge,” Wenham said.

“If Spurs don’t win, Postecoglou could be sacked. Therefore, looking ahead to the game against Wolves, I do think the entire 11 that started against Frankfurt could be rotated.

“I know a lot of people aren’t happy with our league position. However, the Frankfurt game is do-or-die for Postecoglou. I also think there are a lot of hungry players who could come into the team who I wouldn’t mind seeing.”

Tottenham need to win against Frankfurt

Supporters would like to see their team win against Wolves, of course.

However, ultimately, this game means nothing in the context of Spurs’ season, which will be defined by their trip to Germany. As a result, all focus should be on that match with Frankfurt.
