Paul Robinson wants Vincent Kompany interview at Tottenham Hotspur
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium…
Paul Robinson would like to see Vincent Kompany interviewed for the vacant managerial position at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Daily Mail reported on 26 April, that the former Manchester City defender has admirers in North London but is expected to remain at Burnley.
Despite the setback, Robinson has urged the club to keep pushing for Kompany, who he believes has the potential to be a “top manager”.

“For me, I would like to see Vincent Kompany interviewed or considered because of the job he has done at Burnley. He’s got the potential to be a top manager,” Robinson exclusively told Tottenham Hotspur News.
“They need someone who has the potential of winning trophies but also building something and not just a short-term fix but a long-term plan a bit like Pochettino was last time.
“Arne Slot is getting touted because of what he’s done with Feyenoord, a name that is unfamiliar to a lot. And the one at the moment is Xabi Alonso, who is doing really, really well with Bayer Leverkusen.

“It’s not going to be a quick appointment, otherwise they would have done it a long time ago. I think they got it wrong. They should have put Mason in charge when they sacked Conte instead of Stellini.
“Ryan has been great and I wouldn’t be too disappointed to see him get it full-time. You say it’s too early for him, but you look at Carrick and Kompany in the Championship.”
Kompany has recently signed a new five-year contract at the Championship winners, with his eyes firmly set on the Premier League, it seems.
