Paul Robinson: Harry Kane transfer could drag at Tottenham if Bayern Munich don’t show true intent
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium…
Should Harry Kane leave Tottenham this summer, the saga may drag on until the end of the window unless Spurs owner Daniel Levy gets the right fee, suggests Paul Robinson.
Spurs received a bid for their record-goalscorer from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich of £60million earlier this month [BILD], but Levy will reportedly not sanction any move unless nearly £86million is offered.
Spurs have notoriously not budged on selling Kane unless their valuation is met as Manchester City found out last summer when their £100million bid was rejected [Sky Sports].

Now with just one year remaining on his contract and it seeming unlikely that the England captain will sign a new contract in north London, Bayern Munich will feel they can get the World Cup Golden Boot winner’s signature for much less.
Robinson believes that all these factors may lead to another drawn-out transfer saga for the Tottenham captain unless Thomas Tuchel’s team show more intent to sign him.
“I’m not surprised that the bid’s coming in for him,” Robinson exclusively told Tottenham News.
“It’s been well-documented where he is with his contract and it’s a big summer for both him and Spurs.
“Daniel Levy was never going to accept the first offer, but it just depends on how intent Bayern Munich are on getting their man.

“Manchester United are yet to come to the table. There’s a lot of talk and rumours about that. It’s going to be one that’s not done quickly.
“If Harry is to leave, this one could drag on right to the end of the window because we all know that Tottenham are difficult to do business with and rightly so. They’re going to want the best price for their man.”
In a significant transfer window for Kane and Tottenham, the end does not seem to be in sight just yet.
