Mikey Moore ‘to start v Bournemouth’ as Tottenham trio blasted
Ange Postecoglou could make several changes when Tottenham host Bournemouth on Sunday.
Spurs’ players produced an embarrassing display as they lost 1-0 to AZ Alkmaar at the AFAS Stadion in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 on Thursday (6 March).
Son Heung-min and James Maddison have come under fire, with two of the big-name players in North London failing to make the difference in the Netherlands before being hooked in the 72nd minute.
Dominic Solanke returned but suffered another injury setback, picking up a knock in the closing moments of the game, which means he could miss out against his former side at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on 9 March.
Therefore, this injury coupled with Spurs’ lacklustre play up front could lead to changes against the Cherries.

Postecoglou ‘to change Tottenham attack v Bournemouth’
Jamie O’Hara blasted Son after the South Korean’s performance on Thursday. However, the 32-year-old wasn’t the only attacker to let his side down.
Brennan Johnson and Mathys Tel also didn’t offer much, while Wilson Odobert struggled to make an impact after coming on at the break. Therefore, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – expects changes against Bournemouth.
“I think we could see Mikey Moore start against Bournemouth,” Wenham said.
“That front three who started against AZ Alkmaar cannot start as a front three again. That has got to be the end of those players playing together. We’ve seen it a few times now, and that front three just doesn’t work.

“It is like starting eight players against 11. They’re not offering any attacking outlet, they’re not taking it past players, they’re not creating chances for each other. However, they’re also not winning the ball back, which means the opposition defenders are just camped in our half and applying constant pressure.
“Those three cannot start together again and if that means major changes against Bournemouth, with Moore coming in, then so be it.”

Moore should start for Tottenham v Bournemouth
Spurs put in perhaps their worst attacking display of the season on Thursday.
Therefore, the same three players shouldn’t start together against Bournemouth. Postecoglou has to demonstrate to Son, Tel and Johnson that their performance wasn’t good enough, and they’re being dropped as a result.
Moore played well against AZ Alkmaar earlier this season and he will feel as though he has a point to prove after being left out on this occasion.
