Mikey Moore ‘to sign new contract in months’ as Tottenham gem agrees terms

Mikey Moore could prolong the high of winning the UEFA Europa League for supporters, with the forward expected to sign a new contract at Tottenham.

Tottenham ended their 17-year trophy drought after a 1-0 victory against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final at the Estadio de San Mamés on Wednesday (21 May).

While Moore did not see any minutes during the knockout stages of Spurs’ European campaign, he was a key player in the group stages, scoring an all-important goal in the 3-0 victory against Elfsborg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (30 January).

After days of celebrations, Spurs supporters could be in for another welcome surprise as Moore is expected to sign a new deal in North London after a recent agreement.

Moore agrees terms with brand-new agents

It was recently announced that Moore, who signed a contract with Tottenham which runs until 2027 last summer, had agreed terms to sign with Unique Sports Group.

Ethan Nwaneri is already represented by the agency, with Moore following in the Arsenal teenager’s footsteps.

Now, with Moore set to be represented by new agents, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes the Spurs sensation will agree a new contract in North London.

“I think Moore will sign a new contract when he turns 18 in August,” Wenham said.

“By having new agents, that could allow him to get the best possible deal when that time does come. His new agents won’t just be looking after the football side of things, but they’ll be taking care of the contracts with boot providers and things like that.

“Therefore, it seems as though this is just a change, for something different, and that is fair enough. He is coming up to his first proper contract at the age of 18, and he will want the best people behind him.”

Moore is a key player for the future at Tottenham

Ange Postecoglou has pushed Moore into the spotlight at Spurs following injuries to several key players, and the youngster has had to step up to the plate quickly.

While still raw, Moore is dynamic and possesses key creative and technical qualities which could see him establish himself as a world-class winger in the years to come.

Now, already in receipt of a major trophy and beginning to establish himself in the Tottenham dressing room, the future is bright for young Moore.
