Mikey Moore is expected to commit his long-term future to Tottenham.

Moore to extend at Tottenham despite interest from other clubs

Moore has been linked with a departure from Tottenham, with Juventus one of several clubs interested in signing the forward this summer.

However, as reported by Football London (29 June), Spurs have offered Moore a new contract and negotiations have begun over the deal.

And Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes Moore will sign a five-year contract.

“He’ll be eligible for a five-year contract,” Wenham said.

“Therefore, I imagine that’s what he will sign. Then, he will go on the pre-season tour, and decisions will be made about how much game time he’s going to get next season.

“I expect that Moore will impress Thomas Frank. As a result, it wouldn’t surprise me whatsoever if the decision was made to keep him around the first team next season.”

Moore could play an important role next season

Tottenham could take part in over 50 games next season after qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.

This would entail heavy squad rotation, which would give Moore countless opportunities to bag some minutes under his belt.

Furthermore, Frank could be the perfect coach to develop the young winger. The Dane sets out his system to position his forwards close to the goal. This would mean that, in addition to progressing the ball up the channel, Moore will find himself in more goal-scoring positions.

This would not only add to Spurs’ overall output but would also boost morale and confidence. Therefore, the young star could grow to love the position he is put in next season.
