Mikey Moore expected to return for Tottenham against Wolves
Mikey Moore hasn’t been seen at Tottenham since early November.
Moore looked set for a breakthrough season after featuring consistently with the first team during the first few months of the campaign.
However, an illness has kept him sidelined for almost two months, with the 17-year-old last seen in the 4-1 Premier League win over Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 3 November.
Ange Postecoglou recently stated ahead of the 6-3 Premier League defeat to Liverpool at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 22 December that Moore needed a couple more weeks of training to get back up to speed.
However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – suspects that the 17-year-old could be part of the matchday squad for the Premier League clash with Wolves at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (29 December).
“We need players back on the bench,” Wenham said.
“With Djed Spence unavailable it is especially important we get players back on Sunday. Therefore, if Moore returns, that would be a huge boost. I’d say he is the most likely to feature against Wolves.”
Mikey Moore to return for Tottenham against Wolves on Sunday?
If Moore is back in training then there is no reason why he can’t feature on the bench against Wolves.
Postecoglou is under a lot of pressure heading into the match and will need all the help that he can get.
The 59-year-old doesn’t need to bring Moore on for long, and could even just hand him five minutes toward the end of the match. However, just having that option on the bench will help the Spurs boss to feel more secure about his options.

While Moore is still young, he appears to be a firm part of the first-team plans now, and getting him back on the pitch as quickly as possible is important.
