Marco Silva to ‘accept £190,000-a-week Tottenham deal’ – Exclusive
Marco Silva is thought to be ready to accept an offer from Tottenham to replace Ange Postecoglou.
Postecoglou still has the chance to make history with Tottenham when the Lilywhites contest the UEFA Europa League final against Manchester United at the Estadio de San Mamés on Wednesday, 21 May.
However, regardless of what happens in Bilbao, Postecoglou is expected to reach a mutual agreement with Tottenham over his exit from the North London club at the end of the season.
Therefore, Levy will need to find a replacement, and it looks as though the 62-year-old might only have to travel as far as West London to do that.

Silva ‘to accept three-year contract offer from Tottenham’
As reported by TBR Football (7 May), Silva has rejected a new contract offer from Fulham.
Despite this, Tottenham will need to act fast if they want to appoint the Portuguese coach, as reports have emerged that Al-Hilal have received the approval of Silva over a recent proposal [A Alhanyan].

However, ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – thinks the 47-year-old would accept a three-year contract worth £190,000-a-week if it were offered to him by Levy.
“I think Silva would want a three-year deal to manage Tottenham,” King said.
“You can start thinking of the figures, probably £10million a year. If I were the manager at Fulham, and Spurs came looking, I would just have to see what has gone on before me to see the managers who haven’t been given a chance.
“Therefore, Silva will want at least a three-year deal, and he will want to be well-paid, £10m a year would be a starting figure. I would think he would accept the job under those terms, and I would think he would want to bring his staff with him as well.
“At least five backroom staff, which means people would be losing their jobs at Tottenham, which I don’t think would be a bad thing because some of those guys have been there too long.”

Silva could be an exciting appointment for Tottenham
Levy cannot afford to get his next appointment wrong if he sacks Postecoglou. Therefore, the Spurs chairman will need to make a reliable hire.
Silva has experience in the Premier League, and with some backing in the transfer window, he could be an exciting appointment for Tottenham.
