Manor Solomon ‘to sign for Leeds United’ despite recent Tottenham news

Tottenham forward Manor Solomon enjoyed a successful loan stay at Leeds United.

Solomon spent the 2024/25 campaign at Elland Road and made a big impact, etching his name in Leeds history by scoring the goal that secured the Championship title.

The 25-year-old will now return to North London after the conclusion of his season-long loan spell.

However, Solomon is expected to seal a return to Leeds, despite recent Tottenham news.

Tottenham intend to keep Solomon in North London

After the impact Solomon made in West Yorkshire, the Whites have been linked with a permanent move for the Tottenham forward.

However, a report in The Sun’s print edition (6 June) suggests that Solomon will remain at Tottenham next season, despite Leeds’ intention to sign the winger permanently.

It was reported that Solomon will have a chance to fight for his place in N17. However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – does not believe this to be true.

“I can’t see Solomon getting another chance with Tottenham,” Wenham said.

“He was loaned out for a whole season last year; he played a pivotal part in Leeds’ promotion and scored the goal which won them the Championship title.

“Therefore, I see him signing for Leeds. Maybe these reports are coming out to encourage Leeds to move ahead with that transfer, who knows?

“However, I just can’t see Solomon remaining at Tottenham. As I said, I think he will sign permanently for Leeds United.”

Tottenham can now begin to make transfer decisions

The deliberations on Ange Postecoglou’s future have slowed down Tottenham’s movement in the summer transfer market.

However, Thomas Frank has reached an agreement to become the new manager of Tottenham.

As a result, transfer decisions should now be the priority, and one of those decisions which needs to be made is whether Solomon is going to be sold to Leeds or included in Frank’s plans.
