Manor Solomon ‘certain to leave Tottenham’ as Leeds United chances rated

Manor Solomon is expected to leave Tottenham after his season-long loan with Leeds United.

Solomon enjoyed a fruitful spell with Leeds, scoring the goal which secured the Championship title for the Whites.

The 25-year-old had a difficult time playing under Ange Postecoglou, spending most of his debut season at Tottenham on the sidelines.

However, the winger appears to have rediscovered his best form at Elland Road. As a result, there will no doubt be plenty of supporters in West Yorkshire keen to sign Solomon permanently.

Solomon ‘to make permanent transfer to Leeds’

While in exclusive conversation with Tottenham News, Paul Robinson suggested that Leeds should “pay whatever it takes” to sign Solomon.

However, Marseille have held talks with the Spurs forward, with the transfer already validated by Robert De Zerbi [Sky Sports CH].

Solomon impressed for Leeds

Tottenham News understands that Solomon prefers a move to Marseille.

However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes a move to Leeds is the more likely option, due to the previous transfer of Archie Gray.

“I’m certain that Solomon will leave Tottenham this summer,” Wenham said.

“As I’ve said previously, it is probably one of the easiest deals to do with Leeds. Tottenham will still owe Leeds some money from the Gray deal.

“Therefore, I’m sure a deal can be done, and I fully expect Solomon to join Leeds, not Marseille.”

Tottenham could have a bidding war on their hands

With Marseille and Leeds both interested, this could drive Solomon’s pricetag up, which would be good news for Tottenham.

However, the Israel international may be better off staying at Leeds.

This would allow the forward to continue to play in the Premier League, and after the impact he made at Elland Road this season, he would surely be a guaranteed starter next year.

However, Spurs will want to secure as much money as possible for Solomon. Therefore, his next destination might come down to which club is willing to pay more for his services.
