Levy ‘to hold talks with Venkatesham about new Tottenham hire’
Daniel Levy is currently overseeing plenty of change at Tottenham, with another new hire now on the cards.
It has been a difficult season for Spurs, who suffered their 18th Premier League loss of the campaign on Monday (21 April) as they were beaten 2-1 by Nottingham Forest at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
As a result, Levy is expected to sack Postecoglou regardless of Spurs’ progress in the UEFA Europa League.
Therefore, it could be a busy summer at Hotspur Way in terms of new hires, although it looks as though Levy is set to wait on Vinai Venkatesham’s arrival before making a key decision.

Levy ‘to wait for Venkatesham to decide on new hire at Tottenham’
Tottenham recently announced that Venkatesham would be joining the Lilywhites as their new chief executive officer this summer.
It could be a busy first couple of months for the 44-year-old, with Spurs potentially set to be on the hunt for a replacement for Postecoglou this summer. However, that might not be the only hiring decision Venkatesham is involved with.

As reported by TBR Football (20 April), Levy is still keen to bring Paratici back to Tottenham.
However, ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes any decision on the Italian will need to wait until Venkatesham has started his new role.
“Levy has just recently hired Venkatesham to be the chief executive officer at Tottenham,” King said.
“Therefore, surely Venkatesham has got to make this decision, or at least be part of the decision-making process, otherwise what is the point of bringing him in. Personally, I wouldn’t bring Paratici back to Tottenham. He has had his time at the club.
“However, I think the decision will be made based on what Venkatesham wants. Nothing can be done until he starts working at the club this summer. If Levy goes ahead and hires Paratici, it would undermine Venkatesham. Therefore, I’d imagine they will hold talks about this decision first.”

Levy must establish a positive relationship with Venkatesham
It has been a chaotic few years at Tottenham. Therefore, what the North London club needs is a bit of stability behind the scenes.
As a result, Levy needs to ensure he forms a positive working relationship with Venkatesham, and that means including the incoming Spurs CEO on big decisions, such as the potential re-hiring of Paratici.
