Leroy Sane demands mooted amid ‘concrete’ Tottenham transfer news
Leroy Sane is a player of significant interest to Tottenham ahead of the summer transfer window.
Now that Tottenham are back in the UEFA Champions League, they have become a more attractive destination for potential transfer targets this summer.
Sane has been linked with a move to North London, with Daniel Levy urged to sign the forward.
However, like any high-profile player, the winger is expected to come with a set of costly demands.

Sane to demand more than £250,000-a-week to join Tottenham
Sane’s agent, Pivi Zahavi, recently met with Bayern’s sporting director to discuss summer dealings, with his client out of contract at the Allianz Arena this summer.
As reported by Christian Falk via CF Bayern (30 May), Spurs hold a “concrete” interest in Sane, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea.

However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes that while the winger would be a good investment, his wages could be too high for the Lilywhites.
“Tottenham do need some experienced players,” Wenham said.
“Sane has experience in abundance. He is a proven winner who can play in any of the front three positions. He has pace, trickery, and he scores goals and provides assists.
“I know some people will say that he is past his best. However, Tottenham need a couple of experienced players who have been there and done it. Therefore, I think Sane would be a good signing.
“However, do I think he’ll come to Tottenham? Probably not. I imagine he is already on £250,000-a-week and will want more than that. I just don’t see Tottenham offering the kind of money that would convince him to sign for us.”
Sane would be a step in the wrong direction
While Sane is Premier League proven, he is nearing the end of his prime at 29 years of age.
There is always the argument that experience wins you trophies in Europe, but if we take a look at Luis Enrique’s Paris Saint-Germain, it is clear that this is not always the case.
PSG have made the Champions League final with one of the youngest teams in Europe at the moment.
Tottenham have already won in Europe this season with several youngsters on their bench, and the club should look towards recruiting more young talents with the hunger to win bigger and better things.
