Kyle Walker-Peters injury claim shared as Tottenham eye transfer reunion
There are no red flags with Southampton defender Kyle Walker-Peters’ fitness that should deter Tottenham from attempting to sign him, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that while he has had recurring hamstring setbacks, none of them have been high-severity ones.
TalkSPORT journalist Alex Crook reported on 9 May that Spurs are considering re-signing the 27-year-old right-back.
Discussing the state of play with Walker-Peters exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“There’s good news and bad news here for Walker-Peters.
“He has a history of recurring hamstring problems but none of them have been high severity.
“The recurring aspect is certainly something you have to be cognisant of during rehab and the club will be very methodical with his progressions.
“There do not appear to be any major red flags that the club would be advised against signing him.“
Kyle Walker-Peters could be a decent addition at Tottenham
The 27-year-old was exceptional for Southampton this past season and played a key role in getting them promoted to the Premier League.
He is capable of playing at left-back as well and is arguably in the prime of his career so he could challenge to be a first-team regular.

While both Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro have done well under Ange Postecoglou, competition for places is always welcome, especially for a side that’s aiming to qualify for the Champions League and win silverware.
