Kingsley Coman to Tottenham transfer verdict shared amid £250k-per-week claim

Tottenham and Bayern Munich have established a productive transfer relationship as of late, and Kingsley Coman could become the latest player to move between the two clubs.

Harry Kane and Eric Dier have both moved from North London to Bavaria in recent seasons, while Mathys Tel swapped Munich for Spurs in the most recent winter transfer window.

There remains hope that Kane one day returns to Spurs, which would represent yet another high-profile transfer between Tottenham and Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Spurs have been told to sign Joshua Kimmich, a move which could perhaps be made possible due to the positive relationship between the two European clubs.

However, it is Coman who has become the latest player to be linked with a switch between Bayern and Tottenham.

Bayern Munich to offer Coman to Tottenham

As reported by Give Me Sport (11 March), Tottenham want to sign Tel permanently.

In addition, they will also be offered the chance to sign Coman when they enter transfer discussions with Bayern Munich for Tel in the summer.

However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes the wages involved in a potential deal will prevent a transfer from happening.

Coman is a good player who is hugely experienced,” Wenham said.

“However, do I see him coming to Tottenham? To be perfectly honest, no. This is a player who would be on big money, probably about £250,000-a-week.

“We just never seem to be in the market for players on that type of money with Coman’s level of experience. Therefore, I imagine he will end up at another top-six club, rather than Tottenham.”

Levy needs to splash the cash at Tottenham

Money certainly isn’t an issue for Tottenham, with Levy thought to have companies queuing up to secure a lucrative new sponsorship deal with Spurs.

Therefore, the chairman needs to get the wallet out and sign some high-profile players.

If the money continues to roll in, but Spurs continue to miss out on transfer targets, fans are only going to become more and more frustrated.
