Josh Keeley exit: Clubs ‘to clear space to sign outstanding Tottenham gem’
Josh Keeley could be one of the most in-demand Tottenham players this summer.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have had a miserable season and currently sit 14th in the Premier League.
However, when it comes to talented young players in North London, there is no shortage of those. While the likes of Mikey Moore and Luca Williams-Barnett are making an impact at Tottenham, some of the club’s other talented young players are flourishing out on loan.
Keeley and Jamie Donley, who are both playing their football with Leyton Orient this season, are two of the most exciting Tottenham loanees, and it looks as though it could be a very big summer for the former.
Josh Keeley to leave Tottenham on loan this summer
Keeley has established himself as the number one at Leyton Orient, impressing with his performances between the sticks in EFL League One.
As a result, the 21-year-old is expected to attract plenty of loan interest this summer, and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – thinks some Championship clubs will do whatever it takes to sign the Irishman.
“Keeley is so composed, and he has a sense of aura in goal,” Wenham said.
“There will be no lack of interest from clubs when it comes to taking Keeley on loan next season, that is for sure. Championship clubs will be keen to make him their starting goalkeeper.
“I think clubs will clear space if it meant they could get Keeley, he is an outstanding young goalkeeper.”
Josh Keeley to become a superstar at Tottenham
Tottenham have plenty of goalkeeping options at the moment, with Guglielmo Vicario, Antonín Kinský, Brandon Austin and Fraser Forster all featuring already this season.

Therefore, it might be difficult for Keeley to make an impact on the Tottenham first team anytime soon. As a result, heading out on loan to the Championship next season is probably the best move for the shot-stopper.
However, when the time comes, Keeley will no doubt be keen to stamp his mark on the Spurs team, and if he continues on this trajectory, he has every chance of doing just that.
