John Wenham expects Tottenham to continue ‘impressive run’ against Fulham
Tottenham News is delighted to welcome John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose as our exclusive columnist. Each week, he’ll be giving his expert insight on the biggest talking points at Spurs…
John Wenham expects Tottenham’s “impressive run to continue” when they play Fulham in the Premier League on Monday 23 October.
Tottenham will welcome Fulham to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as they look to continue their unbeaten start to the Premier League season and return to the top of the table.
Marco Silva’s men are the only team to hand Postecoglou a defeat in England so far, knocking his side out of the Carabao Cup via a penalty shoot-out, following a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage on 29 August.

The Australian will be looking to avenge that result and Wenham fancies his chances of doing just that.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “I expect a home win, without question. Based on the way we’ve started the season and the players we’ve got, I expect us to beat them at home.
“What I do know is that we did beat them home and away last year, but they were two pretty intense games. They’re a decent outfit and are perfectly capable of grinding out results.
“They did lose Aleksandar Mitrovic over the summer, which I think was a huge loss as he was an identity player for them in the way that Harry Kane was for Tottenham.

“However, they’re still fully capable of getting a result against us, we saw that in the Carabao Cup game, and I know we made nine changes, but Fulham also made some changes.
“I like their fullbacks as well, Antonee Robinson and Kenny Tete, I remember they caused Tottenham problems last year.
“Overall, Fulham are a good, capable side but at home, I expect our impressive run to continue and another three points to be banked.”
In other Tottenham news, Wenham has named one Spurs youngster who could soon switch his international allegiance.
