John Wenham believes recent developments will see Tottenham front three ‘totally changed’
Tottenham News is delighted to welcome John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose as our exclusive columnist. Each week, he’ll be giving his expert insight on the biggest talking points at Spurs…
Following Son Heung-min’s hattrick against Burnley, and the signing of Brennan Johnson, the Tottenham front three could soon be “totally changed,” according to John Wenham.
Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski and Son looked as if they were guaranteed starters at the beginning of the season with no alternative strikers or right-wingers available on the bench.
However, after Son was preferred through the middle during the club’s trip to Turf Moor, where he scored a hattrick, and Johnson was signed on deadline day, the forward line could be set for a shake-up.

Wenham thinks that Ange Postecoglou will prefer Johnson over Kulusevski and a fresh front three will be created.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “I think after his hattrick Son has really cemented himself for a run in the striker role now, and we could now see the front three totally changed.
“It could now be a forward line which perhaps has Son up front, meaning Manor Solomon starts on the left and Johnson starts on the right, over Kulusevski.
“I feel like Ange Postecoglou will absolutely love Johnson characteristics-wise, with the pace he has and the opportunities we create as a team now.

“And then of course after Solomon’s performance against Burnley, with his two assists and the issues he created throughout, that’s a really interesting dynamic.
“That front three of Richarlison, Son and Kulusevski that was so set for the opening couple of games could be totally changed. We’ve got Arsenal the game after next so that will be a real opportunity for Solomon and Johnson to stake their claim as starters during what will be the first North London derby for them both.”
In other Tottenham news, the club have agreed personal terms over a new signing.
