Injury Expert: Tottenham attacker Manor Solomon unlikely to make training return before December

We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Tottenham Hotspur...

Tottenham Hotspur attacker Manor Solomon is unlikely to be back in action before January after a meniscus injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that he’s likely had a meniscus repair due to a tear in that part of the leg.

It’s also understood that the 24-year-old Israel international will not be back in first-team training until December.

Discussing Solomon’s situation exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “He likely suffered a tear in the meniscus which required surgery.

With his return timeline looking like it will be in 2024, he very likely had a meniscus repair to stitch the tear back together.

These aren’t always an option following meniscus injuries so it certainly could’ve been better for him.

Typically, repairs take over three months to return from and he’ll perhaps not be back in training before December.

Solomon picked up the injury in the much-discussed 2-1 victory over Liverpool at the end of September.

The 24-year-old has not been a regular starter for Ange Postecoglou but he’s made a number of telling appearances off the bench for the North London club.

Postecoglou will undoubtedly be frustrated with Solomon’s absence as the Aussie has also recently lost Ivan Perisic for a number of months.

Ex-Shakhtar Donetsk ace Solomon is not expected back in training for the next month at the very least but will be hoping to contribute in the second half of the campaign.

In other Tottenham news, a forgotten Spurs full-back may feel like a new signing under Postecoglou.
