Injury Expert: Hugo Lloris likely to miss rest of the season after Tottenham injury blow
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Tottenham...
Hugo Lloris is unlikely to return to action for Tottenham Hotspur this season if he has suffered a grade 2 muscular injury, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert believes that an injury to the hip may mean multiple things, especially in muscles that are used a lot by footballers.
The French goalkeeper, 36, was taken off at half-time in Spurs’ 6-1 defeat to Newcastle on 23 April and the club are yet to officially rule him out for the rest of the season.

Speaking about his return this season, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Tottenham Hotspur News, “The injury is to the hip but that could involve multiple things, particularly high-demand muscles.
“If it is a muscular injury, a grade 2 tear would likely rule him out for the rest of the season.”
Fraser Forster has been the North London club’s replacement for Lloris and was between the posts for their recent Premier League clash against Manchester United.

The game ended 2-2 with Spurs fighting back from a two-goal deficit and Forster had a decent game as he made five saves during the 90 minutes.
Forster has featured in nine Premier League games this season, making an appearance off the bench, while Lloris has started in the other 25 matches.
In other Tottenham news, one youngster has been told to put himself in the shop window as his future in North London hangs in the balance.
