‘Igor Tudor to threaten Tottenham stars with summer sale after Arsenal humiliation’
Igor Tudor could utilise scare tactics to get the best out of his new Tottenham side.
The Croatian took charge of his first Tottenham Hotspur Stadium clash on Sunday, and it couldn’t have gone much worse.
Spurs fell to a 4-1 defeat against bitter rivals Arsenal, with Randal Kolo Muani’s strike being the only silver lining on a dismal day.
Even Micky van de Ven looked disinterested in N17 and totally ignored the interim head coach as he belted out instructions from the sidelines.
Tudor could now take to new measures at this early stage of his Lilywhites career after the shocker that was the North London derby.
Tottenham stars could face transfer reminder after Arsenal failings
There was no real surprise about the result against Mikel Arteta’s side, but that doesn’t take away from the annoyance towards the players.
The majority of those in white failed to perform and didn’t show any fight, despite lining up in a fierce derby under a new manager.

Tudor is known as a stern authority figure, and that clearly didn’t reflect well on Sunday, but he could remain firm with his squad.
Former scout Bryan King believes the interim boss needs to threaten his players with a summer exit to see how they react moving forward.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, King said: “His main job is to get the discipline back into the team and get the players to play for the badge.
“The last six months have been painful watching Spurs’ demise.

“They’ve been hugely fortunate in the Champions League as well. Tudor has to make them into a team; he’s got to up the level of training.
“He’s already brought in his staff, and he needs a strong mind to tell the players where they currently stand.
“The players who don’t step up to the plate need to be told they’ll be at another club next season, and maybe they’ll buck up their ideas.“

Who could Tottenham sell in the summer?
Spurs are genuinely at risk of being relegated from the Premier League, something which would be met with a large number of sales.
It feels that a mass exodus will also be on the cards, even if Tudor can avoid a drop to the Championship by the end of the campaign.
There are a wide range of big earners who could be on their way out, with many Tottenham fans demanding exits for players who won’t put in the required effort.
Tottenham’s reported highest earners:
- Xavi Simons – £195,000 per week
- Cristian Romero – £195,000 per week
- James Maddison – £170,000 per week
- Conor Gallagher – £160,000 per week
- Mohammed Kudus – £150,000 per week
- Dominic Solanke – £140,000 per week
These sorts of numbers are no joke, and for many of these names, the performance levels haven’t matched the outlay.
Tudor needs to be stern with these players and make them understand just how precarious the position is right now; they’ll all be on their way out in the summer.
