Harry Kane transfer: Tottenham decision made as clause emerges already

Harry Kane has been linked with a return to Tottenham in the summer with a fresh transfer decision mooted for Spurs.

Even during Kane’s time at Spurs, success was hard to come by, but Tottenham have certainly endured a horrid season this time around with injuries playing a role.

Dominic Solanke has spent a long time on the sideline, leaving Spurs without a natural number nine which has at times proven costly.

To remedy that, Tottenham have been linked with the re-signing of Kane, after it was revealed he has a release clause in his contract.

Kane can depart the German giants for £67million this summer and £54million next winter.

Tottenham told their chances of landing Kane

Tottenham were able to add Mathys Tel to their ranks in the winter, but further attacking reinforcements will be needed in the summer.

However, it seems unlikely that they will arrive in the form of Kane, with Paul Robinson refusing to buy into the reunion story when speaking exclusively to Tottenham News.

“No chance [Kane will come back]. Absolutely no chance,” said Robinson.

“I know that he’s got a buyout clause in his contract and Tottenham have got first refusal. If he’s to come back to the Premier League you can only imagine that it would be to Tottenham but why would he? I mean he’s scoring a hat full of goals there. It’s looking like he’s going to get some silverware this season.

“He left Tottenham because he wanted to progress and win things and play in the Champions League. You look at where Bayern Munich are this season. Top of the league, looking like very serious title contenders, if not they’re going to win the league this year.

“Champions League football that he’s had. The domestic trophies that could come along his way and then you compare that to the season that Tottenham have had. In all honesty, nothing’s changed since he left so why would he go back to what he left and the reasons that he left for?”

Tottenham unlikely to sign Kane

While Kane’s return would be huge for any potential success at Tottenham, it’s also highly unlikely given the form he is in at Byern Munich.

The Englishman departed Spurs to win trophies and compete at the very highest level of European football, something which Tottenham will not be able to offer immediately.

With that said, reinforcements will be needed in the summer if Spurs are to avoid a repeat of the current campaign.
