Fabio Paratici to work January magic for Tottenham amid details of suspended sentence
Tottenham may have only just seen the transfer window close, but preparations will already be underway for the next one.
The Lilywhites worked hard to bring in quality this summer, with Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus among the arrivals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Fabio Paratici returned to Spurs in a consultancy role in July, having resigned from his position as managing director in April 2023.
Now, the 53-year-old could play a pivotal role in the winter window despite the latest legal developments.

This article includes exclusive comments from Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham.
Fabio Paratici could be crucial to Tottenham’s transfer window
Paratici has been responsible for some eye-catching Spurs transfers over the years and could make several more in January.
The Italian played a part in bringing Dejan Kulusevski, Cristian Romero, and Pedro Porro to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, amongst others.
- Kulusevski has made 55 goal contributions in 146 Tottenham appearances
- Romero is Spurs’ captain and a leading Premier League centre-back
- Porro has 32 goal contributions in 114 appearances for the Lilywhites
Paratici was recently handed an 18-month suspended jail sentence in a plea bargain deal with Italian prosecutors, according to The Sun on 22 September.
However, Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes he could work wonders in January, while discussing his suspended sentence.
“I think as a consultant, I still think he’s one of the best consultants you can have in the game in terms of the network of people he’s got and contacts he’s got,” Wenham said.
“We’re not that far from the January transfer window already, so I’m sure Tottenham did everything they could to keep Paratici around.
“A suspended sentence, as I said, as long as you behave yourself, that’s all it becomes.”

Who could Fabio Paratici sign for Tottenham?
While Harry Kane represents a dream Spurs signing, he will almost certainly remain with Bayern Munich past the winter window.
However, the North London club may well strengthen in January depending on what unfolds over the coming months.
Conor Gallagher has been consistently linked with Tottenham, although it could be argued that there is plenty of quality already in Frank’s midfield.
It has been reported that the Lilywhites are in talks to sign Brazilian starlet Rayan, a right-winger who currently plays for Vasco de Gama.
One to keep an eye on will be Rodrygo, who has made just one La Liga start under Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso.
Of course, much will depend on injuries, but if they need to, then Spurs should be able to strengthen in January.
