Fabio Paratici ‘pulling the strings at Tottenham’ amid Simone Inzaghi news
Fabio Paratici appears to still have some influence behind the scenes at Tottenham.
Ange Postecoglou is under serious pressure in North London with the Australian’s long-term future currently up in the air.
Several managers have been mooted as potential replacements for Postecoglou at Spurs, including Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola.
However, if Paratici has any say in the matter, it will be Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi who takes over from Postecoglou in North London.
Fabio Paratici recommends Simone Inzaghi at Tottenham
As reported by Inter Live (10 February), Levy is considering sacking Postecoglou at the end of the season. Iraola and Fulham manager Marco Silva are the two “internal” leads to replace Postecoglou at Tottenham.
Meanwhile, Inzaghi is reportedly an “external” lead to take over at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Paratici trying to convince the club to hire the Inter Milan boss.
And Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes Levy will have more interest in what Paratici has to say than anyone else.
“Make no mistake about it, Paratici is the one pulling the strings at Tottenham,” Wenham said.
“For everything that we hear about Johan Lange and Scott Munn, whatever Paratici says will be valued higher than those two. I’ve seen him at the stadium myself.
“Therefore, it is interesting that he has recommended Inzaghi. We’re talking about a good coach who has done a lot of great work with Inter Milan. However, I still think Postecoglou will be given until the end of the season.”
Simone Inzaghi to replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham?
Paratici was forced to step down from his role at Spurs in April 2023 after the Italian lost his appeal against a 30-month ban on certain football-related activities in Italy, which FIFA ruled to extend worldwide.
However, despite no longer working with the club in an official capacity, Paratici maintains plenty of influence behind the scenes as an external consultant to the club.
Therefore, if the former Juventus chief is recommending Inzaghi to Levy, the Spurs chairman is likely to take that recommendation seriously.

As a result, Postecoglou needs to turn things around, and fast.
