FA investigation set with Ange Postecoglou set for new Tottenham charge
Ange Postecoglou should be charged by the FA for his recent comments following the Tottenham defeat against Newcastle, Keith Hackett says.
The Australian said if things were “equal” several times after the 2-1 defeat on 4 January, with an FA probe previously mooted following the game (The Mirror).
Hackett admitted that the FA will now be investigating the comments, admitting most people will conclude he was questioning the integrity of the officials.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, the ex-PGMOL chief shared what he thinks the outcome should be after the recent controversy.
“There is no doubt that The FA will investigate,” he said.
“The first thing they do is to write to the manager asking for his observations.

“The outcome will and should be a charge because I think most people read into this that the comments are questioning the referee’s integrity.”

There has been plenty of controversy at Tottenham this season.
Another FA investigation was predicted following the EFL Cup win over Manchester United in recent weeks, although no punishment has followed that.
Postecoglou may not be so lucky this time around.
