Exclusive: Tottenham want to sign Leo Ostigard to replace Eric Dier
Tottenham have shown interest in Napoli centre-back Leo Ostigard as Eric Dier continues to be linked with a move away from north London, Tottenham News has been told.
Ostigard has played 17 times for Napoli in all competitions this season.
The 24-year-old has 19 caps for the Norwegian national team, scoring one goal across those appearances, and has previous experience of playing in England.

Having joined Brighton in 2018, Ostigard made 13 appearances for the club’s Under-21s, before spending some time in the Championship, where he made 54 appearances across spells with Coventry and Stoke City.
A recruitment source with links to Spurs has now revealed to Tottenham News that the north London side could look to make a move for the defender as they continue to sure up their options at the back.
Ostigard has been described to Tottenham News by a source with links to Italy as “tough” and someone who could become an “Ange player.”
Spurs could find themselves in need of another defensive option if Dier moves on from the club this month.
Sky Sports News Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has revealed via his personal X account (10 January) that the 29-year-old is one of Bayern Munich’s top targets with a verbal agreement between the two parties already in place.
Dier joined Spurs from Sporting Lisbon in 2014 and has made 364 appearances for the club across a nine-and-a-half-year spell, scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists in that time.
He has fallen down the pecking order under Ange Postecoglou, making just four appearances in the Premier League so far this season, and with six months left on his contract, could look to move on from the club this month in search of regular first-team football.
In other Tottenham news, one 99 per cent ace is in line to return to full training as early as next week after a spell on the sidelines.
