Exclusive: Tottenham takeover bid stance after bombshell Daniel Levy exit confirmed
Daniel Levy has stepped down as chairman of Tottenham Hotspur, with a bombshell sent through the Premier League.
Interested parties may have received further encouragement of a takeover by the Levy news at Spurs on Thursday, Tottenham News has learned.
When Donna Cullen left Tottenham earlier in the summer, it was described as the “biggest shake-up” since ENIC took charge in North London, but that has already been overshadowed.
Qatari takeover interest has never disappeared at Tottenham, and has always been seen as the most likely if a deal were to be agreed, with Levy’s exit opening the door again.

Tottenham takeover may advance after Daniel Levy news
Tottenham News has been told by a source within football finance that a takeover bid would be further encouraged if Levy was previously making a deal hard.
It is said to be hard to prove that, but Tottenham are widely known to be valued at over £3billion.
The source did admit, however, that Levy’s exit will be a contributing factor to anyone considering a takeover bid in the near future.

Thomas Frank could have new owners at Tottenham
Thomas Frank could be buzzing with Levy’s exit, given the brutal nature of Ange Postecoglou’s sacking before him, despite him lifting the Europa League.
The Dane was likely delivered promises by Levy and the board when appointed, so this could be a huge surprise to see all of the changes happening.
However, a succession plan description included the hiring of Frank in the exit statement, so he may well have already been preparing for this news before it became public knowledge.
Anyone considering a takeover bid, however, would still need to deal with Levy, it seems.
ENIC increased its stake within the club to 86.91 per cent in the summer, with Levy and his family potential beneficiaries of trusts which own 29.88 per cent of the shares.
Any takeover wouldn’t be straightforward, but this may have just kick-started proceedings.
