Exclusive: Tottenham in hunt to sign Luka Stojković from Dinamo Zagreb

Spurs are well positioned in the race to sign Luka Stojković from Dinamo Zagreb, Tottenham News has been told.

Stojković moved from NK Lokomotiva to Dinamo Zagreb last summer and made an impressive start to life at his new club.

The 20-year-old scored two goals and provided two assists in his first four league appearances before suffering a major injury.

He has been out of action since early September and Tottenham News understands that he is expected to make a return sometime next month.

Following the signing of Luka Vuskovic from Hajduk Split, Ange Postecoglou’s side are keen to once again snap up a young Croatian talent.

A well-placed recruitment source with links to the Croatian market, who recently revealed to Tottenham News that Spurs hold an interest in another exciting young Croatian duo, has now revealed that the North London club are keeping an eye on Stojković.

An industry source has described Stojković as a player who would be his “first recommendation” when it comes to young Croatian talent, tipping him to become the “best player” at Dinamo Zagreb.

Stojković has been described as a mixture of Croatia internationals Dani Olmo and Mislav Oršić, with Tottenham News learning that the forward is on the radar of several top Premier League clubs.

Spurs have had plenty of success in the Croatian market in the past, having signed legendary midfielder and one-time Ballon d’Or winner Luka Modric from Dinamo Zagreb before selling the midfielder on for a healthy profit to Real Madrid.

In other Tottenham news, Daniel Levy is almost guaranteed a multi-million windfall in North London after what happened on Thursday night.
