Exclusive: Tottenham decide on whether to sign Stanis Idumbo Muzambo as Ajax contract nears end
Tottenham are weighing up whether or not to make a move for Ajax youngster Idumbo Muzambo as his deal in Amsterdam nears an end, Tottenham News has been told.
Muzambo is yet to make his first-team debut for Ajax but has featured heavily in the Under-23s’ Keuken Campioen Divisie campaign this season, scoring three goals across 11 appearances.
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder shone at Under-18 level for the Dutch giants, scoring 13 goals and providing 17 assists in 33 appearances.

A recruitment source with links to Belgian and Dutch football has told Tottenham News that the north London side are currently deciding if they should move for Muzambo, who will not sign a new deal with Ajax with his current contract expiring this summer.
Muzambo has been described as a “talented” player by scouts, although Tottenham News has learned that Ange Postecoglou’s side could instead make a move for two different Ajax youngsters.
Gabriel Misehouy is also out of contract this summer and has attracted interest from the north London side, while Mika Godts is another Ajax youngster on Spurs’ radar, with scouts of the belief that both players are bigger talents than Muzambo.
Tottenham News has been told from a recruitment source that a senior scout at one top Dutch side has described Muzambo as “not for him,” which could put the club off a move for the midfielder as they instead look to sign either Misehouy or Godts.

However, the Belgian’s versatility makes him an attractive option for Postecoglou. Muzambo has played as an attacking midfielder, as well as a central midfielder, right winger, left winger and centre forward this season, and could therefore fill in across various positions for the Australian.
Muzambo has made five appearances so far for Belgium’s Under-19s, having made his debut on 23 October 2023.
In other Tottenham news, Girona have been linked with a surprise move for one standout Spurs ace after his performances this season.
