Exclusive: Tottenham close in on new £35m jackpot
Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou are within touching distance of the Europa League final.
Spurs are in Norway on Thursday with a 3-1 aggregate lead for the second leg of their semi-final showdown against Bodo/Glimt.
Postecoglou is nearing the sack in North London for a disastrous domestic campaign, but could take charge in the Bilbao final later this month, likely against Manchester United.
That is, barring disaster in Norway.

Tottenham and Daniel Levy ready for new jackpot
With two games separating Spurs and silverware again, it would also unlock the door to Champions League football after years away.
Dan Plumley has shared that’s not all, with a £35million total jackpot on offer for whoever lifts the Europa League, including all prize money so far.
The football finance expert revealed that qualification for the European Super Cup this summer also adds millions on top of that for the winners.
“It’s a decent pot,” he exclusively told Tottenham News.
“If you look at what they’ve won so far in prize money, if they win the whole thing, it would be around £26m.
“There is probably another £8m estimated from the value pillar, so conservatively, if Spurs were to win the final of the Europa League, it would be around £34m.
“It would then also qualify you for the Super Cup, which adds another £3.4m in prize money, so for ballpark figures rounding up, if they were to win the whole thing, around £35m at least.”

Levy not getting carried away
As much as a two-goal lead is brilliant for Tottenham, they face a massive challenge.
Fans will have been delighted to have Bodo/Glimt in a major European semi-final, but a trip to Norway has proven to be a massive banana skin for many this season.
Bodo/Glimt’s last five home matches in Europe |
Bodo/Glimt 2-1 Beşiktaş |
Bodo/Glimt 3-1 Maccabi Tel Aviv |
Bodo/Glimt 5-2 Twente |
Bodo/Glimt 3-0 Olympiacos |
Bodo/Glimt 2-0 Lazio |
Roma have been smashed there in recent years, and with Lazio losing out in the quarter-finals, Tottenham will need to be at the top of their game.
