Exclusive: Mikey Moore ‘to seek assurances’ in fresh Tottenham exit claim

Mikey Moore could depart Tottenham on loan in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham have several promising youth prospects in North London, but very rarely have they been afforded to shine.

Will Lankshear was afforded a loan exit in January, while Moore stayed to fight for his place under Ange Postecoglou, though he has received limited game time.

His constant snub under the Spurs boss could see him depart Tottenham on loan, where he will be looking for one thing in particular.

Tottenham could sanction Moore loan this summer

Given his lack of gametime, it may make sense for Moore to leave on loan in the summer, though Paul Robinson, when speaking to Tottenham News, shared what the 17-year-old will likely be looking for.

“I think the big thing for him is to guarantee to play every week,” explained Robinson. “There’s no point in going out on loan and being in the same situation as you are at your parent club.

Moore has contributed when given the chance.

“I don’t think there’s a bad move in the Championship for a young player like Mikey Moore. I think so long as you’re going to go somewhere where you are going to play, that’s the most important thing.

Going somewhere where that position is needed and where they want him to start, wherever his preferred position may be, and give him the opportunity to play every week.

“If there’s an opportunity for him to go into a potential top two side and be part of a squad and not play every week, or go to a mid-lower half, you go mid-lower half and play every week. It’s the whole idea of a loan.”

Tottenham need to make the right calls this summer

Especially for players like Moore, the most important thing at this stage of his career is to be playing regular first-team football, regardless of the level.

Playing 10 minutes here and there is doing nothing but hampering his progress and stunting his development.

With Lankshear returning in the summer, he is another youngster who will need to be managed carefully in what will be a crucial transfer window for Spurs.
