Exclusive: Archie Gray in ‘astronomical’ Tottenham exit claim
Archie Gray will undoubtedly have eyes on him this summer as a result of the impressive performances he has showcased at Tottenham.
Despite what has been a dismal campaign for Tottenham, there have been occasional bits of optimism to emerge in North London.
Perhaps none as much in regard to the development of Gray, who has excelled in a variety of positions for Tottenham ever since making the move from Leeds.
However, unless Spurs are able to win the Europa League, they face the prospect of a season without European football, which could, in turn, turn the heads of players if any big clubs come calling.

Tottenham need to retain Gray for a long time
Quite frankly, Gray has been the most impressive player for Tottenham this season, and if they are to progress, they need to build the team around the teenager.
However, in order to do that, they may have to fight off future interest in him, with Paul Robinson – when speaking to Tottenham News – claiming it would take something special to take him away from North London anytime soon.
“I don’t think that there’s a bid that would tempt Tottenham because he’s a player who signed a long-term contract,” said Robinson.

“He’s shown his quality in his first year. And I think for him as a player to stay would be very sensible. For Tottenham, the value is not going to go anywhere. Even if Archie Gray didn’t play as many games as he has this season last year, it would have to be an astronomical bid. For Tottenham, players like Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray, those types of players, the youth of that age, it would be important.
“You build a team around that. You build a nucleus of a team around that. I don’t think there is a bid that takes him away this summer.
“His value is only going to increase. And for Tottenham, the lack of ambition it would show to sell a player like that, that’s not where they want to be.”

Tottenham cannot afford to lose key players this summer
If Europa League success doesn’t come to fruition, there will be players who look to leave Tottenham, though they need to do everything in their power to keep hold of those of importance.
Gray is certainly one of them, and has been one of the only shining lights in a season full of nightmares in North London.
As for now, focus will be on ensuring that failure doesn’t occur, and that Spurs can have another shot at European football next season.
